Directorate ENER.A together with the Legal Service of the European Commission is responsible for representing European Union in a case in the arbitral tribunal, where a support of a special expert is required.The main tasks of the contractor will include:1. liaise with European Commission and other representatives to provide views on the questions set out in the tender specifications;2. provide a written expert report setting out the expert’s analysis and conclusions on the questions specified, to be filed along with the EU’s submissions;3. provide comments on the claimant’s response to the expert’s initial written report;4. take part in preparatory work leading up to the hearing on the merits in the arbitration;5. participate in the Tribunal’s hearing and provide oral replies to questions relating to the expert report.
